How to Play

Everything you need to jump into the world, meet the townsfolk, and bring your friends. Takes about two minutes to set up.

1 · Get the right version 1.21.4

The server runs Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.4. Your launcher has to match it, or it will not let you in.

  1. Open the Minecraft Launcher and make sure you are on Java Edition.
  2. Click the Installations tab at the top.
  3. Click New installation.
  4. Name it something like Ravsden 1.21.4.
  5. Open the Version dropdown and pick release 1.21.4.
  6. Click Create, then hit Play on it. The first launch downloads 1.21.4 (about a minute).

You do not lose your other versions — this is just a separate one you can switch between any time.

2 · Join the world

  1. From the 1.21.4 installation, click Multiplayer.
  2. Click Add Server.
  3. Server Name: Ravsden  ·  Server Address: mc.ravsden.com
  4. Click Done, then double-click the server to join.

First time? You need to be on the guest list first. Ask Lucas to add your username — see section 4.

3 · Meet Max, the AI Mayor

Max is a real talking helper who runs the town. Just type in chat with his name and he answers.

Say his name and ask:
  • Max, what is this place?
  • Max, make it daytime
  • Max, can I have a diamond sword?
Want a private chat? Whisper him:
  • /msg Max hi!

You will also meet Senial the (slightly kooky) greeter, and Lional the merchant. Say their names too!

4 · Bring your friends

Only Lucas (the owner) can add people. Friends must be added before they can join — and they need version 1.21.4 too. Three easy ways:

A) Just ask Max easiest
  • Max, whitelist my friend CoolKid_2015
  • Max, remove SomeName
B) Type a quick command
  • /addfriend TheirUsername — adds them
  • /friends — shows who is on the list
C) Use the admin page

Use their exact Minecraft username — spelling and capital letters matter.

5 · Explore the world

  • You spawn in the Mystic Kingdom — the big fancy castle town.
  • Walk out past the kingdom and you are in wide-open survival wilderness — same world, build anywhere you like!
  • Type /spawn any time to teleport back to the castle.

6 · Watch the world live

Anyone can watch the kingdom from their browser — no Minecraft needed.

Stuck?

"It says outdated client / wrong version"

Your launcher is not on 1.21.4. Redo section 1.

"Connection refused" or "you are not whitelisted"

You have not been added yet. Ask Lucas to add your username (section 4).

"My friend cannot get in"

Two things: they must be on the list, AND on version 1.21.4.
